We are thrilled to have two summer interns join us this summer from Campus Greensboro! Welcome to Dominique Simmons, a rising Senior at UNCG. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Dominique first became interested in software development after participating in a STEM extracurricular sponsored by Google that was offered at her high school.
Dominique learned about Xtern after participating in a Tech Trek that Xtern hosted in partnership with the UNCG Department of Career & Professional Development this past winter. We invited students interested in careers in tech to learn more about opportunities within the field. The students spent half a day with us, taking part in three presentations, followed by a networking lunch.
When she’s not working or in school, Dominique enjoys playing video games and spending time with her family in Greensboro, which includes younger twin brothers. Welcome to Dominique! We are so glad to have you with us, learning and growing this summer.
