Welcome to our second Campus Greensboro Summer Fellow of the 2023 year, Andrea (Andy) Bonola! Andy is a rising Senior at UNCG, pursuing her degree in Computer Science. Andy learned about internships at Xtern via Campus Greensboro as a result of being a student in Keir Davis' Programming Languages course last spring. Noticing her strong performance in class, Keir encouraged her to apply for an internship with us.
Andy spent many years after graduating from high school working for a company in the nearby furniture industry while simultaneously taking courses from Davidson County Community College. She received her Associate's degree from DCCC and then transferred to UNCG.
One of the things that Andy is most excited about this summer is getting to participate in all the community service work that Xtern does locally. Community service was something Andy spent a lot of time doing throughout her younger years and hasn't had as much time for during college.
When she’s not working or in school, Andy enjoys reading, playing video games, rock climbing, practicing yoga, roller skating, and brazilian jiu jitsu. We are so glad to have you with us this summer, Andy!
